Event

Open City

Open House is the world’s largest event dedicated to the promotion of architecture. Founded in London in 1992, it now takes place annually in 45 cities across the globe. Since 2012, Open House Roma has offered free public access to hundreds of sites notable for their architectural and artistic qualities, with guided visits available by reservation. To celebrate the 2023 edition, nine evening gatherings called Nine by Night were conceived, each hosted nightly in nine locations selected from over two hundred listed in the catalogue. House of Dust by Antonino Cardillo, located near Via Veneto, opens the programme on Saturday 20 May 2023. For this occasion, the architect presents his work through an oral introduction later titled ‘The cave and the garden’, and personally leads guided visits over the two-day event.
