Sometimes architecture is all the more interesting, the more invisible or concealed it is.Architecture fascinates when it contains in itselfremote places, where the separation, rather than physical, becomes an expression of the unknown, of the unreal,in short of dreams...
Antonino Cardillo is an itinerant Italian architect. Active worldwide, through his works he explores the bonds between ancient and modern languages. His architectonic spaces attempt to get to a new syncretic synthesis, which reconciles different world views, beliefs, traditions and cultures: he interprets architecture as a way to connect people. Born in Sicily, he studied architecture at Palermo with Antonietta Iolanda Lima. He was selected among the thirty best new young architectural practices from around the world in Wallpaper* magazine's architect directory. He has lectured at Chelsea College of Art and Design of London and his works were exhibited at different occasions, including the 4th International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam, the Artindex of St-Petersburg and the John Foxx's exhibition in London. Lately he has worked with the London Design Festival at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

«Antonino Cardillo is one of the most significant architect s of our time» - Tony Chambers
«Specialising in architecture, interior design and urban design, Antonino Cardillo now operates on a global scale and his distinctive overtures have won him wide acclaim for their curvaceous forms and intelligent use of natural materials. Monolithic at times, shapely at others, Antonino Cardillo's work, while thoroughly modern, bears more than a passing affinity to the architecture of ancient Rome» - Thomson Carpnter
«Exhibition Road Postmodern Cafe by Antonino Cardillo. The London Design Festival's dedicated entrance to the Museum at Exhibition Road plays host to the Postmodern Cafe, in homage to the Italian masters of the movement; the café is a playful rendition of a colourful environment, for relaxation, repose and refreshment. Contemporary interpretations of Postmodern design co-exist with past realities, including elements designed for firms with roots in Postmodernism active today.» - Postmodern Cafe
